Hello, I came across your web site and wanted to say that I was surprised to find it. I was raised in that area and my mom still lives about 5 minutes from driftwood. I am returning the weekend of the 22nd of July to visit and see an old friend.

Glad I ran across your WEB SITE! It has been many years since I last visited the Sister lakes area. My grand parents [Amanda and Thurston Anderson] retired to Cable Lake and from the age of 5 until after I got into college and the death of my grandparents, I'd spend at least a weekend or two a year (and until college, almost the whole summer!) swimming and fishing and just enjoying Cable lake, the Driftwood, Dowagiac and a great Michigan Treasure. I'd look forward to that Labor Day weekend, when all the Swedes on the lake would have a massive Smorgasbord and we'd spend that last weekend putting away the high-dive and pier. Just as many fond memories were from Christmas time, walking around the lake sometimes when it was cold enough, walking across t he lake. Glad to see someone put a site together. Thanks again!

Thank you so much. My parents took us to Hilltop Resort every July for years. I'm looking to get my family back to Sisters Lakes. Seeing the picture of Driftwood brought back a lot of great memories.

Thanks Sister Lakes....I stumbled upon your website while looking for some travel info for an unrelated area. I spent the first 20 summers of my life renting a cottage on Big Crooked- 6 weeks every year. We stayed in an old cottage at the top of a hill that had a circle around the block making all the traffic come back around to our side lot.

I had more friends in Mich than I did in IL. I miss going up there, it has been almost 12 years since my last visit. Driftwood and the roller rink was always a blast, not to mention the Keeler Keg and Kitchen. Someday I hope to get up there with my family and show them all the places we use to hang out at, thanks for the memories and the cool music. Great photos.
